Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure, Networking, IDAM, Security)
Rate: Up to £400 per day - OUTSIDE IR35
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote - some infrequent client site visits may be necessary

We are working with a dynamic SME Managed Service Provider (MSP) dedicated to delivering top-notch IT solutions to their clients. They are experiencing some exceptional growth with a enviable pipeline of new clients and technical projects for scheduled for delivery over the next 12 months.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager who has a technical background as an Infrastructure/Network Engineer and moved into project management for the past three years. They will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical teams and clients, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully and meet the clients’ needs. The successful Technical Project Manager will also play a pivotal role in maintaining client relationships and driving the company’s growth through effective project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Client Onboarding:
- Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and setup of services.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize hands-on experience in networking, network security, IDAM, and infrastructure to guide project decisions.
- Provide technical leadership and support to the project team.
Team Coordination:
- Coordinate with internal technical teams, including network engineers and infrastructure specialists, to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently.
- Facilitate communication between different departments and stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise promptly.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Keep clients and internal stakeholders informed about project status, progress, and any changes.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Technical Project Manager in an MSP environment
- Strong knowledge of networking, network security, IDAM, and infrastructure.
- Technical hands-on experience as a network or infrastructure engineer.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
