Role Highlights
· Position: Data Governance Lead
· Location: London or Manchester(Hybrid working model – Office & Home)
· Salary: Up to £95,000 + bonus + benefits
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Governance Lead. In this pivotal role, you will lead data governance initiatives, ensuring clients achieve and maintain high standards of data quality, integrity, and security. You will work closely with clients, primarily in the financial sector, to develop and implement robust data governance frameworks. This role requires regular travel to client sites across the UK and Europe.
What You’ll do:
· Lead the development and implementation of data governance strategies and frameworks for our clients.
· Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
· Conduct data governance assessments and maturity evaluations to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
· Provide expert guidance on data management, data quality, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
· Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance data governance awareness and capabilities within client organisations.
· Monitor and report on data governance metrics and performance indicators.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting data governance.
· Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability within client organizations.
What We’re Looking For:
· Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, preferably within the financial sector.
· Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data governance (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239).
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Willingness to travel regularly to client sites across the UK and Europe.
Desired:
· Experience with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, IBM Information Governance Catalog).
· Professional certifications in data governance or data management (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
